On leaving school in 1969 I started work for Rumbelows service department in Lincoln
as a RTRA bonded apprentice during which time I attended Lincoln College achieving
full City & Guilds certification in Radio,Television & Electronic Mechanics. In 1975,
with their decision to centralise service to Caistor, I applied and was successful
in obtaining the position of bench engineer for LCS. In 1988 I was promoted to service
manager holding that position until its closure in march 2006. As manager I was responsible
for 10 staff and the day to day running of the department. During this time I was
involved in merging 3 service departments into 1, represented LCS on the technical
panel,divisional Y2K panel member and responsible for rental sourcing and pricing
etc. I also undertook many management related courses but also I ensured I kept a
`hands on` with repair work. March 2006 I began working for MTV Service Centre in
Lincoln as a technician. Being a regional service centre for many major manufacturers
it gave me the opportunity to continue to improve my skills and undertake further

Based in the cathedral city of Lincoln in mid Lincolnshire I am conveniently located
to cover most areas of the county. Unfortunately, due to the high cost of fuel and
other factors it is not cost effective for me to work outside this region.
